Investor Intent Signal
A behavioral marker that indicates an investor is moving from evaluation to active interest.
An investor intent signal is a reading behavior that, taken in context, suggests an investor has moved from initial triage to genuine due diligence. The strongest signals in order: (1) return visit within 72 hours, (2) off-hours read (9pm–6am local time), (3) time on Financials exceeding 5 minutes, (4) document download, (5) full deck completion on a second or third visit. No single signal is definitive — the engagement score synthesises them.
Example
An investor who opened a data room once at 9am for 3 minutes shows low intent. The same investor who returns at 11pm on Sunday and downloads the cap table shows high intent.
